The packing continues

Moving house is actually quite easy (I can speak with reasonable authority here, having moved house/flat 8 times now, not counting the "running back to home" incidents). Moving overseas is not.

Moving house: pack everything you own into labelled boxes, move them into a moving van, drive them to the new place, unpack. Quite easy.

Moving overseas: cull everything you own, no matter how precious/expensive/tiny it is. Beg your parents to mind some boxes for six months and that you honestly will send for them, toss things away until they fit into three suitcases and a carry on bag, cry a lot, drink heavily and shout at people. Not easy.

If I ever do this again, I'm letting Felix beat me about the head first. Only gently, but still...

One month to go

I feel ill. Just when I start thinking I'm getting on top of the whole situation, something else goes sideways. I will eventually stop feeling sick, but don't hold your breath.

The minute I relax probably won't be until Christmas...
